State of Oklahoma

Oklahoma is a state located in the southern central region of the United States. Known as the "Sooner State," it is bordered by six states: Texas to the south, Arkansas and Missouri to the east, Kansas to the north, and Colorado and New Mexico to the west.

The state is characterized by a diverse landscape that includes rolling prairies, forests, and the picturesque Ozark and Ouachita Mountains. It is situated in what is often referred to as "Tornado Alley," experiencing a higher frequency of tornadoes compared to other regions in the United States.

Oklahoma City is the capital and largest city of the state. The city serves as a major economic and cultural hub, featuring a mix of modern amenities and historic landmarks. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, and the vibrant Bricktown entertainment district are among the notable attractions.

The history of Oklahoma is intertwined with Native American cultures and the forced removal of Native American tribes, known as the Trail of Tears, during the 19th century. Today, Oklahoma is home to several Native American tribes, including the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole Nations.
